Very Good

Good clean hotel, breakfast adequate but didn't think tinned pears and peaches hit the mark. Bar in the evening absolutely no atmosphere and not homely at all. Too sparse. Bedrooms modern and clean but had to ask for a kettle. Tea & coffee making should be provided.

Good hotel, quiet, not too expensive, but restaurant (dinner) could be better

Very quiet, great staff, great ammenities, very large room with a terrace.

The restaurant is great for breakfast, but mediocre for dinner - even though there are many options to choose from for dinner, they are not very tasty, not the meat, nor the fish. Everything felt like it was missing spices, and was not worth 20 EUR per person.

Great hotel will be back.

Great room and pool area. Location was excellent, very close to the town centre but also in a quiet area

First room we got was not good and very small and dark. As there for 15 nights we asked to be moved which was much better.

Very Good

Well located, comfortable hotel with very pleasant staff. The room was spacious, with a comfortable, firm bed and a balcony with a nice view, sunbeds and table and chairs. Breakfast was included and provided great variety at the buffet. It's just outside the pedestrian zone so really close to the lovely port and loads of restaurants and bars. The swimming pool area is clean and has a lifeguard but the pool water was freezing!

The shower was over bath (some bathrooms are not yet renovated the receptionist explained to me on check in) and as tge bath is quite narrow the space was a bit small but it was OK. Water pressure was good.

Nice staff in reception, was a very friendly and helpful guy. Nice location, close to the promenade and a very nice hotel. Thank you

The cleaners are changing only the towels, took the rubbish and did the beds... no cleaning in the bathroom, shower, no checking if there is shower gel in the dispenser(like the kitchen one) The water from the pool was frizzing cold ???? 15°, was worm in the ocean. The mattress is making a holl in the middle and your back can hurt you.

Wonderful

The hotel was in a perfect location, close to the town but in a quiet location. Very calm with a large room and lovely pool.

A kettle in the room would have been nice, but I know this isn't common in Europe. The closest beach has had a serious sewage leak so is out of bounds and won't be open until late 2025. But there are others so it wasn't too inconvenient.

The stay was amazing, the people were so friendly and the room was in good condition

My husband and I were so happy to visit this place, the weather was nice and we tried the food, especially traditional we liked so much. We intend to visit this country again in the future

Overall good experience, pleasant pool, nice staff, comfy room, clean, dinner needs improvement

Overall it was a good experience. The staff was professional, we had daily housekeeping (even if we were informed that towels will be changed every 2 days), the breakfast was nice and diverse enough, good coffee and juices as well ( we appreciated mostly the variety of fruits provided). The room is very spacious, beds are very large and comfy, the walls are pretty thin (we had a lot of noise from the room next door for the 1st 3 nights, after that is was very peaceful), the location is central and quiet enough. We enjoyed our garden view and spacious balcony.

Even though for breakfast there were enough options, when you stay there for 7 nights, it is becoming boring as they do not change the options (they would not change anything in the menu). We opted for half-board, because we hiked and traveled a lot, the dinner was below average, in our opinion, most of the nights. You could find something decent to eat every night, but for side dishes, there was always just rice, oven baked zucchini and aubergine (quite greasy) and (frozen ) french fries. If you have enough time to eat out, I would not recommend you get hall-board.The room was renovated, but the bathroom was not, it looked horrible and it was very uncomfortable as the sink was very low. The doors were old and squeaky, the dressing did not have enough shelves for our clothes and we only had one blanket to cover ourselves and no case to cover it, which I really hate.

Comfortable and convenient.

Excellent location, very peaceful yet handy for walking around the town and down to the seafront. Some nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Only 5 mins walk to bus station. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Pool was quiet and great for swimming. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Pool was unheated. Good for swimming but not for lingering!

What was the highlight of Hotel RF San Borondon

Decent three star property.

Fair sized property which is clean and quite well maintained, although my shower cubicle leaked and by the looks of the bathroom door, had done for some time. There is a fridge in the room but no air conditioning so a fan is really needed. I tended to have the fan on constantly when in the room. There is a small safe in the wardrobe which can be used for an additional fee. I also saw a studio apartment - the bedroom area is smaller but it also has small kitchenette with an under counter fridge, kettle, two ring hob, crockery and cutlery. Quite a good location - but be warned it is up a hill - but then most of Puerto De La Cruz is hilly. About a 20/25 min walk into the centre of town, with lots of shops, bars/cafes and restaurants to visit on the way. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was not great, while there is a variety to cater for continental and English tastes, quantities were often lacking near the end of the breakfast, reducing selection. I tended to go for breakfast about 9/9.30 ish which is a very popular time and not always easy to find a table either inside or out. Variety of breads is also much diminished by this time and other items, such as yoghurt, had run out and was not restocked - whether this was because it was not available or not put out because it was so near end of breakfast I do not know. What I do know is that when I asked for more yoghurt one morning someone went to the kitchen but no yoghurt appeared and no explanation given. The available fruit was very hard and not really ripe enough to eat, with exception of banana’s which unfortunately were not available every day. Would consider staying at this hotel on a room only basis as I do not think the breakfast is worth getting up for. Sun beds on the sunny side of the pool are limited and ‘reserved’ with towels well before 9am .
